How to Customize iNotes Login Screen (Lotus Web Mail - Login Page)

Today, I'm going to post how to insert company logo and company stamp/name picture on lotus iNotes (Lotus notes WebMail) login page.

Before you begin you must enable the web mail in the Primary Domino Server (or a Fresh Domino Server for WebMail only) . Once you have done that in the domino server, you will see two nsf files :
(Filename can be different as per your choice)

1. iNotes.nsf  (See below screen-shot)

















2. domcfg.nsf (See below screen-shot)


















When you launch the IE or Firefox on http://dominohub.test.net , initially you'll see below screen. This is the one we are going to replace with our company logo & name.



Steps to Do :

Step-1: (Start Domino Designer Client with Proper Credentials)












Step-2: (Get a copy of "Domcfg.nsf" and Open with Domino Designer)

Step-11:











Now, Launch the iNotes page in a browser,

Hope this article would help you to improve and innovate more ways in customizing the iNotes.

 Cause : The design task has most likely run and replaced your changes with the template  version.

    Hello Sir,

    I am interested in changing Log, to replace it with ours. I have been looking at your Screen-print to find out how I can apply it to my environment. My problem here is that the screen print is very illegible, I can not see the files clearly. Can you help me sir!

      Hello Mogotsi,

      You can view the screen shot by doing single mouse click on top of image. Can you try like that & let me know if that worked for you ?

      Thanks for such useful information Sir. I have inserted my logo in a row beneath the "Computed Value" and deleted the default pictures. What surprises me is that after sometimes/days when i log on i find that the defaults (as seen in step 3) have replaced my changes. What could be the problem sir?

    Hi Nicholas,

    The design task has most likely run and replaced your change with the template version. You should create a new database template with your changes in it.

    Hello Sir
    But i created a new database template by following all your steps above( from the first screen shot).
    Every morning i have to make new changes and truly speaking,it a serious pain. If possible can you outline all steps i should follow to prevent this from happening.
